Some years ago, there was a cross-faulty group that met regularly for lunch. They called it the Wyndham Society. One goal was clear: to reduce barriers between departments. By now, you may well have interviewed old profs to find what worked and what didn’t.
John Wolfenden was in it … and may have been an organizer. I believe he was on such a group at Oxford.
By the way, when John was asked where the name came from, he replied, “Wind and ham seems to typify professors.”
